Vice-Island Mayor of Donghai Island -Mr. Yu Guosheng’ Speech

Ladies and Gentlemen - First allow me to represent the people of Donghai Island special economy development zone and its committee, to express our congratulations for this ground breaking ceremony.

Donghai Island of Zhanjiang is one of the largezt islands of Guangdong province. It has a shore line of 192.48 kms and is very rich in wind resources. We are happy and welcome Welwind energy International and Zhanjiang Windcor to develop wind projects in this location.

The installation of the sample turbine is the beginning of a greater economy return and new energy for the local community. Because of the development of these two projects, Donghai Island and all the government departments will give their full cooperation and assistance.

各位领导、各位嘉宾、同志们、朋友们：
首先，请允许我代表东海岛经济开发试验区管理委员会向湛江盈风东海岛4.95万千瓦风电场样机工程奠基表示热烈的祝贺。

湛江市东海岛是广东第一大岛，海岸线总长192．48公里，风力资源极其丰富。对于加拿大伟力国际能源集团有限公司、湛江盈风风力发电有限公司在此投资风力发电场，我们非常欢迎。此风电样机的奠基，为东海岛经济开发试验区增添了新的力量，对我经济开发试验区的发展起到了积极的推动作用。为了使60万千瓦沿海、近海大型风电场项目尽快启动以及争取风电设备总装厂能够落户东海岛，东海岛开发区管委会及所属各部门将积极优化试验区的投资环境， 提供全面、优质、高效的服务，以推动项目的发展进程。
最后，祝奠基仪式圆满成功。
