SAN DIEGO, Dec. 21, 2006 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Welwind Energy International Corporation (the 'Company') announces today that as a result of being in compliance with the Nasdaq's OTCBB listing requirements, the Company's trading symbol will change from ``WWEIE'' to ``WWEI'' effective with the open of business on Friday December 22, 2006.
